Use the app to request account deletion. If you cannot sign in, email support@noveltree.ca. This page also explains what deletion is intended to remove and what Noveltree may need to retain.

1. Delete your account in the app

If you can access your Noveltree account, you can request deletion directly from the app:

  1. Open Noveltree and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Open Account.
  4. Select Delete account.
  5. Follow the confirmation steps shown in the app, including any email verification or password confirmation.

Account deletion is permanent once completed. You may lose access to your profile, library records, reading history, purchases, Coins, creator tools, uploaded materials, support history, and other account-linked features.

After verification, eligible requests enter Noveltree's account-closure process. Requests involving unresolved Approved Copyright Royalties, a pending Scheduled Royalty Payout, an unresolved refund or chargeback, Creator Consumable Credits, transaction or tax records, a published catalogue, or an active legal or rights dispute may require additional review or a restricted closure workflow before deletion can be completed.

2. Cannot sign in?

If you cannot access the app, you may request account deletion by emailing support@noveltree.ca. Please include the email address associated with your Noveltree account and state that you are requesting account deletion.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on an account deletion request. If the request involves a creator account, payout records, published catalogue, unresolved support matter, chargeback, refund, fraud review, or legal compliance issue, additional review may be required before deletion can be completed.

3. What deletion is intended to remove

Subject to applicable law and operational requirements, account deletion is intended to delete or de-identify personal information associated with your Noveltree account, including:

  • Account profile information and account credentials.
  • Reader activity linked to your account, such as library records, reading progress, highlights, and annotations.
  • Personal-library uploads, imports, and eligible creator source files associated with the account, where deletion is supported and no documented legal or rights-related exception applies.
  • Comments, reviews, support records, preferences, device records, notification records, and similar account-linked data where deletion is supported.
  • Creator drafts, unpublished uploads, and account-linked creator records where deletion is supported and not retained for legal, rights, audit, or platform-integrity reasons.

4. What we may retain

Some records may be retained after account deletion where reasonably necessary for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, transaction-record, security, dispute-resolution, rights-management, audit, or compliance purposes. Retained records may include:

  • Purchase, refund, chargeback, transaction, and payment records.
  • Copyright Royalties, Creator Consumable Credit Election, payout, tax, and identity verification records.
  • Fraud, sanctions, abuse-prevention, account-integrity, moderation, security, and audit records.
  • Records needed to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, respond to legal requests, or comply with law.
  • Published catalogue, copyright, licensing, attribution, and rights-management records where deletion cannot be completed automatically.
  • Backups and system logs until they are deleted or overwritten through normal retention cycles.

5. How long retained records are kept

Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, the feature involved, and our legal or operational obligations. We keep retained records only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including to comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, security, audit, and platform-integrity obligations.

Retained records are reviewed and deleted or de-identified when their documented purpose, applicable statutory period, dispute, audit need, or legal hold ends. We consider the record category, transaction and rights history, fraud and security risk, legal obligations, and whether the information can be minimized while the remaining purpose continues.

Where we cannot fulfill a deletion request in full, we will explain why where required by law. For more detail about how Noveltree handles personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
