These Creator Terms are a legal agreement between you and Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree, a Canadian corporation operating Noveltree. These Creator Terms apply when you apply to, participate in, publish through, monetize through, elect to apply approved royalties to Creator Consumable Credits, or receive Copyright Royalties from Noveltree as an author, writer, publisher, rights holder, estate, agency, studio, or other approved creator.

By applying for or participating in the Noveltree creator program, you agree to these Creator Terms, the Noveltree Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Virtual Items Policy, Cookie Policy, Content Guidelines, Copyright Policy, and any additional creator, payout, tax, or program rules we make available. If you do not agree to these Creator Terms, you may not participate as a creator on Noveltree.

  • Creator participation is subject to approval, eligibility, identity, tax, payout, sanctions, fraud, rights, and compliance requirements.
  • Creators keep ownership of their Creator Content, but grant Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree the rights needed to host, display, distribute, promote, secure, monetize, and operate Noveltree.
  • AI-generated or AI-assisted writing, art, cover art, key art, illustrations, translations, adaptations, outlines, and other creative or editorial content are not allowed.
  • Historical public-domain works are not automatically eligible for paid access, Copyright Royalties, Sticker-associated Copyright Royalties, Creator Consumable Credits, promotion, or other monetized features.
  • Noveltree does not treat automated AI-detector outputs alone as conclusive proof of an AI-content violation, and AI-content reports may not be used to harass or target creators.
  • Creator Content, cover art, key art, metadata, chapters, and full-work access must meet Noveltree's content quality, visual-art, AI-content, rights, and monetization-integrity standards.
  • Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree does not use Creator Content to train or fine-tune any generative AI model, and does not permit service providers to use Creator Content for those training or fine-tuning purposes. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree and specialized service providers may process content using automated systems for moderation, abuse prevention, classification, safety, recommendations, metadata generation, and platform operations.
  • Estimated Copyright Royalties are preliminary and non-payable until Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree approves them under the Creator Terms.
  • User-facing Coin cost, Sticker rarity, Sticker display value, or credit use does not necessarily equal Net Platform Receipts or any fixed creator entitlement.
  • "0% platform cut" means Noveltree does not deduct a separate platform commission from the eligible royalty amount after the applicable source-bucket, payment-channel, tax, refund, chargeback, fraud, promotion, rights, and compliance adjustments described in these Creator Terms. It does not mean 100% of every dollar or Coin a reader spends.

  • Creators may select, recommend, or set list prices from platform-supported pricing options, while Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree retains final control over platform pricing mechanics and royalty calculation rules.
  • Creators do not receive reader Coins, Stickers, reader payments, stored value, or creator-controlled balances.
  • Scheduled Royalty Payouts are made by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree through supported payout providers; creators cannot control payout timing or request immediate payout outside Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree's scheduled process.
  • Creator Consumable Credit Elections, if offered, are optional and subject to Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree approval, source-bucket rules, tax review, reserves, fraud review, rights review, and compliance controls.
  • Creator Consumable Credit Elections may be capped at up to 50% of net approved Copyright Royalties, unless Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree sets a lower limit or disables the feature.
  • Creator Consumable Credits can be used for eligible chapter and full-work access, but cannot be used for Stickers unless Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree expressly enables that source bucket for Sticker use.
  • Paid Coins, Promotional Coins, and Creator Consumable Credits each generate the same USD $0.01 royalty per unit when consumed for eligible chapter or full-work access under the current schedule.
  • Copyright Royalties and Creator Consumable Credit Elections may be adjusted, delayed, denied, reserved, reversed, offset, or excluded for refunds, chargebacks, fraud, rights disputes, sanctions, tax, payment-provider, or platform-integrity reasons.
  • Current payout details, including minimum payout thresholds, supported countries, supported currencies, payout providers, payout fees, reserve periods, chargeback or refund windows, and payout schedules, may vary by creator, country, provider, currency, source bucket, risk status, and program rules. The current default Scheduled Royalty Payout cadence is monthly unless an exception applies.
  • Creators may unpublish Creator Content from new paid access, subject to technical, legal, safety, refund, dispute, moderation, and recordkeeping limits. Ordinary unpublishing stops new paid access but does not revoke active earlier purchases. Noveltree may continue serving the immutable version sold to each purchaser.
  • Creator participation does not guarantee readership, visibility, monetization, Copyright Royalties, payout, or continued access to Noveltree.

1. Definitions

"Noveltree," "we," "us," and "our" mean Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree and the Noveltree platform.

"Creator," "you," and "your" mean an approved author, writer, publisher, rights holder, estate, agency, studio, company, or other person or entity participating in the Noveltree creator program.

"Creator Content" means any writing, books, chapters, series, titles, descriptions, cover images, illustrations, metadata, author bios, comments, messages, updates, promotional materials, and other materials you submit, upload, publish, or provide through Noveltree.

"Key art" means visual artwork, image plates, hero images, thumbnails, banners, or similar visual assets used to represent, display, or promote a work on Noveltree. Key art may be separate from, adapted from, or derived from cover art, but it must comply with Noveltree's visual-art, rights, and No-AI rules.

"Coins" means closed-loop in-app credits issued by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree for use only inside Noveltree for eligible digital content and platform features.

"Stickers" means digital expressive, collectible, visual, social, display, and content-associated platform items made available by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree within Noveltree that users may send or use in connection with eligible chapters, books, creators, creator catalogues, or other platform experiences.

"Estimated Copyright Royalties" means preliminary, informational, non-final, non-transferable, and non-payable estimates shown before Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree approves royalties under these Creator Terms.

"Approved Copyright Royalties" means Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree-reviewed Copyright Royalties eligible for scheduled treatment under these Creator Terms, subject to thresholds, documentation, tax profile, sanctions review, fraud review, reserves, refunds, chargebacks, offsets, payout-provider availability, account status, rights status, and other platform requirements.

"Net Platform Receipts" means fiat or accounting amounts actually received or recognized by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree from eligible Noveltree platform activity, less amounts Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree determines are attributable to app-store fees, payment processing fees, refunds, chargebacks, reversals, taxes collected or remitted, discounts, promotional credits, excluded source buckets, fraud losses, payment-provider adjustments, app-store adjustments, and other exclusions or adjustments under the applicable royalty formula.

"Copyright Royalties" means platform-calculated copyright royalties or royalty-like amounts that Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may determine are payable to an eligible creator in respect of licensed literary works under these Creator Terms. Copyright Royalties may include content-access royalties and eligible Sticker-associated Copyright Royalties. Copyright Royalties may be calculated based on Net Platform Receipts, eligible content activity, eligible Sticker activity, platform-defined royalty pools, source-bucket treatment, and other formula inputs determined by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree. User-facing Coin cost, Sticker rarity, Sticker display value, or credit usage does not necessarily equal Net Platform Receipts or any fixed creator entitlement.

"Scheduled Royalty Payout" means a net amount scheduled for payment by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree through a supported payout provider under these Creator Terms.

"Creator Consumable Credits" means closed-loop Noveltree credits issued by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree, if offered, after an eligible creator elects to apply a permitted portion of net approved Copyright Royalties and Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree accepts that election.

"Creator Consumable Credit Election" means a creator's optional request to apply a permitted portion of net approved Copyright Royalties to Creator Consumable Credits instead of including that portion in a Scheduled Royalty Payout.

"Royalty-Eligible Access Unit" means one Paid Coin, Promotional Coin, or Creator Consumable Credit consumed for eligible chapter or full-work access that has not been excluded or reversed under these Creator Terms.

"Net approved Copyright Royalties" means Approved Copyright Royalties remaining after applicable reserves, offsets, refunds, chargebacks, reversals, tax review, withholding or reporting reserves, sanctions or compliance holds, payout-provider requirements, fraud review, rights review, and platform-integrity adjustments.

"Payout Eligibility" means the requirements a creator must satisfy before Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree will include approved Copyright Royalties in a Scheduled Royalty Payout or approve a Creator Consumable Credit Election. These requirements may include tax information, payout method, identity or business verification, sanctions screening, fraud review, rights review, compliance review, and payment-provider requirements.

2. Relationship To Other Noveltree Terms

These Creator Terms supplement the Noveltree Terms of Service and other Noveltree policies. If there is a conflict between these Creator Terms and the general Terms of Service regarding creator participation, Creator Content, Copyright Royalties, or Payout Eligibility, these Creator Terms will control for that specific issue.

If there is a conflict between these Creator Terms and the Virtual Items Policy regarding Coins, Stickers, Creator Consumable Credits, or virtual items, the Virtual Items Policy will control for user-facing virtual item rules, and these Creator Terms will control for Copyright Royalties, Creator Consumable Credit Elections, and creator-program participation.

3. Creator Eligibility

Participation in the creator program is by application, invitation, approval, or another process determined by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree. To participate as a creator, you must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher; have legal capacity to enter into these Creator Terms; provide accurate account, identity, tax, payout, and contact information; own or control all rights necessary to submit and monetize your Creator Content; comply with all Noveltree policies; reside in or operate from a jurisdiction supported by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree; and not be prohibited from using Noveltree under applicable law, sanctions rules, or our policies.

If you participate on behalf of a company, publisher, estate, agency, studio, or other entity, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that entity to these Creator Terms. We may approve, reject, suspend, or terminate creator participation based on program criteria, risk review, and applicable law. We may limit creator participation by country, age, content category, payout method, tax status, language, risk profile, or other eligibility criteria.

If you submit Creator Content on behalf of a publisher, estate, agency, studio, company, or other entity, you are responsible for having the rights, approvals, licenses, assignments, and authority needed to submit, publish, promote, distribute, monetize, and authorize continuing access for earlier purchasers through Noveltree. You must also have authority to give the limited operational moral-rights consents described in Section 9 where those consents are necessary. You are not required by these Creator Terms to obtain a blanket moral-rights waiver from every contributor. You should maintain reasonable records supporting your authority and provide reasonable evidence if Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree requests it for onboarding, rights complaints, payout review, compliance review, or suspected policy violations.

4. Creator Account And Information

You must provide accurate and current information for your creator account, including legal name, creator name or pen name, contact information, country of residence or business location, tax information, payout information, business or entity information if applicable, and any other information required for creator participation or Payout Eligibility. You must promptly update your information if it changes.

We may delay, pause, or decline payouts if your information is incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, inconsistent, unverifiable, or unsupported by our payout providers. Changes to payout information may trigger verification, review, waiting periods, or temporary payout pauses.

5. Creator Status

You are an independent creator. Nothing in these Creator Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, franchise, fiduciary, or representative relationship between you and Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree. You do not have authority to bind Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree, make promises on behalf of Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree, or represent that you are an employee, agent, or representative of Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree.

You are solely responsible for your own taxes, business expenses, insurance, equipment, internet access, professional advice, and legal compliance unless otherwise required by law.

6. Non-Exclusive Participation

Unless you enter into a separate written agreement with Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree, your participation in Noveltree is non-exclusive. You may publish, distribute, license, sell, promote, or monetize your Creator Content elsewhere, subject to any separate written agreement you may have with Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree or any third party. Nothing in these Creator Terms transfers ownership of your copyright to Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree.

7. Ownership Of Creator Content

As between you and Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree, you retain ownership of your Creator Content, subject to the license you grant to Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree under these Creator Terms. You are responsible for ensuring that you have all rights necessary to submit, publish, promote, distribute, and monetize your Creator Content through Noveltree.

You represent and warrant that:

  • you own or control the Creator Content;
  • you have the right to grant the licenses in these Creator Terms;
  • for paid access, you have authority to permit Noveltree to continue serving the purchased version to earlier purchasers after ordinary unpublishing, later territory changes, or termination of your participation;
  • your Creator Content does not infringe, misappropriate, or violate intellectual property, privacy, publicity, moral, contractual, confidentiality, or other rights of any person or entity;
  • your Creator Content does not violate applicable law or Noveltree's Content Guidelines;
  • your Creator Content, cover art, key art, metadata, chapters, and full-work access comply with Noveltree's content quality, visual-art, AI-content, rights, and monetization-integrity standards;
  • your Creator Content is not plagiarized and does not contain unauthorized third-party content; and
  • your Creator Content does not contain AI-generated or AI-assisted writing, art, cover art, key art, illustrations, translations, adaptations, outlines, or other creative or editorial content.

If your Creator Content includes a historical public-domain work, you represent and warrant that you have accurately identified the source work, author, publication history, public-domain basis, the territories where you want Noveltree to make the work available or monetized, and any added original material. You also acknowledge that historical public-domain works are not automatically eligible for paid access, Copyright Royalties, Sticker-associated Copyright Royalties, Creator Consumable Credits, promotion, or other monetized features.

8. License To Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree

You grant Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree a worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicensable, transferable right and license to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt for technical display, transmit, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, make available, promote, market, index, recommend, excerpt, secure, moderate, analyze, and otherwise use your Creator Content solely to operate, provide, promote, secure, improve, and make Noveltree available. This license is subject to any Copyright Royalties expressly provided under these Creator Terms.

This license includes use of your Creator Content in connection with operating Noveltree; making Creator Content available to readers; enabling reading, discovery, search, recommendations, personalization, accessibility, and platform features; processing purchases, content access, Coins, Stickers, and other platform features; calculating Copyright Royalties; promoting Noveltree and your Creator Content; providing customer support; enforcing policies and preventing abuse; complying with law; and improving, maintaining, and securing the platform.

This license includes the right to use your Creator Content, title, series name, creator name, pen name, cover art, excerpts, summaries, thumbnails, metadata, and public creator profile information for promotional and platform-operational purposes. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may sublicense rights only as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, promote, secure, improve, or make Noveltree available, including to service providers, hosting providers, infrastructure providers, app stores, payment providers, analytics providers, promotional partners, and other partners supporting Noveltree. We do not claim ownership of your Creator Content.

Promotional use is limited to reasonable excerpts, previews, thumbnails, summaries, metadata, creator names, titles, cover art, key art, and other materials used to promote Creator Content or Noveltree. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree will not license Creator Content to third-party publishers or create merchandise, adaptations, or standalone derivative commercial products outside Noveltree without a separate agreement.

The license you grant to Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree does not permit Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree or its service providers to use Creator Content to train or fine-tune any generative AI model. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree and specialized service providers may process content using automated systems for moderation, abuse prevention, classification, safety, recommendations, metadata generation, and platform operations.

9. Moral Rights And Attribution

You consent, and where you act for another rights holder you represent that you have authority to consent, to Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree and its service providers performing only the operational acts reasonably necessary to provide Noveltree. These acts include reflowing and converting files; resizing or cropping cover art and key art; generating thumbnails, excerpts, and previews; accessibility processing; applying content-protection and security measures; moderating, restricting, or temporarily removing content; making proportionate attribution adjustments where screen space or technical constraints require them; and displaying Creator Content in association with Noveltree.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree not to assert moral rights against Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree or its service providers solely because of those limited operational acts. Where a waiver is legally required for a particular act and you have authority to provide it, you provide that waiver only to the extent necessary for that act. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree does not claim a general right to materially rewrite, distort, falsely attribute, or place Creator Content in an association that prejudices an author's honour or reputation.

Publishers, estates, agencies, studios, companies, and other entities represent and warrant that they have the authority or contributor consents reasonably necessary for the specific operational acts described in this section. This warranty does not require a comprehensive or blanket waiver of every contributor's moral rights where the listed acts are already authorized or do not legally require one.

We may display creator names, pen names, profile information, and other attribution information in connection with Creator Content. Attribution may be abbreviated, repositioned, or omitted only where reasonably necessary because of technical, display, moderation, safety, or accessibility constraints.

10. Content Rules

You must comply with all Noveltree Content Guidelines and platform policies, including cover art, key art, metadata, content quality, AI-content, rights, and monetization-integrity standards. Without limiting those policies, you may not submit, publish, promote, or monetize Creator Content that is illegal; infringes intellectual property rights; is plagiarized; violates privacy, publicity, or confidentiality rights; contains AI-generated or AI-assisted writing, art, cover art, key art, illustrations, translations, adaptations, outlines, or other creative or editorial content; was drafted, rewritten, translated, adapted, illustrated, composed, outlined, expanded, or materially assisted by generative AI tools; contains non-consensual intimate imagery; contains sexual exploitation, coercion, trafficking, or abuse presented for sexual arousal; sexualizes minors or age-ambiguous characters; presents minors as sexual objects; visually depicts explicit sexual activity involving minors; graphically describes sexual activity involving minors in a manner intended for sexual arousal; exploits, sexualizes, endangers, or harms minors; violates Noveltree's mature-fiction, content-labeling, cover art, key art, tag, metadata, or content-quality standards; promotes terrorism, violent extremism, organized criminal activity, self-harm, or suicide; contains unlawful hate, harassment, threats, or targeted abuse; impersonates another person or entity; contains malware, phishing, scams, or deceptive links; manipulates platform systems, rankings, engagement, or monetization; solicits off-platform payment for platform content; or otherwise violates applicable law or Noveltree policies.

We may remove, restrict, age-gate, suspend, or terminate Creator Content or creator accounts, and may disable monetization or reduce visibility for Creator Content, if they violate our policies or create legal, safety, financial, platform, or reputational risk.

In this section, historical public-domain works means third-party works whose copyright protection has expired or otherwise no longer applies in the territories where the work would be made available or monetized. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may allow historical public-domain works, but may reject, remove, restrict, demonetize, decline to publish, reduce visibility for, or require changes to public-domain uploads that are undifferentiated, duplicative, low-quality, poorly formatted, misleading, mostly copied from free sources, insufficiently transformed, or otherwise unsuitable for Noveltree.

You may not submit a historical public-domain work for paid access, Coin-based unlocks, Sticker-associated Copyright Royalties, Copyright Royalties, Creator Consumable Credits, promotion, or other monetized features unless Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree specifically approves paid access or monetization for that work, version, or edition in writing, or through platform tools that expressly allow monetization for it. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may approve monetization for a historical public-domain edition where you have made a meaningful original contribution, such as an original translation, substantial annotations or scholarly commentary, critical introduction and notes, original illustrations, restored or curated facsimile materials, archival images with original captions and context, or other substantial editorial, artistic, restoration, or curatorial work.

Formatting changes, basic OCR cleanup, public-domain cover images, linked tables of contents, metadata cleanup, generic introductions, collections of freely available texts, price changes, or repackaging alone do not normally qualify as a meaningful original contribution. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may require source information, rights information, public-domain analysis, proof of original contribution, or other documentation before accepting, promoting, or monetizing a historical public-domain edition.

This section does not prevent you from submitting your own original works that you choose to make available under an open license or public-domain dedication, provided you have the rights to do so, accurately describe the license, and comply with Noveltree policies. That permission does not guarantee paid access, Copyright Royalties, Sticker-associated Copyright Royalties, Creator Consumable Credits, promotion, or other monetized features. Creators seeking monetization approval for a historical public-domain edition may contact support@noveltree.ca with source information, public-domain basis, the territories where they want Noveltree to make the work available or monetized, and a summary of the original contribution.

If we suspect Creator Content or creator activity violates our AI-content rules, we may reject, remove, restrict, demonetize, or decline to publish the content; exclude related activity from Copyright Royalties; reverse or offset related Copyright Royalties; pause Creator Consumable Credit Elections or Scheduled Royalty Payouts; or review, suspend, or terminate your creator participation or account.

Automated AI-detector outputs alone are not conclusive proof of an AI-content violation. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may consider automated signals as one input, may request reasonable evidence of authorship, translation, source assets, or creative process, and may take temporary or precautionary action while a review is pending where needed for legal, safety, rights, app-store, fraud, abuse, or platform-integrity reasons.

11. Content Review And Removal

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may review Creator Content using automated systems, human review, user reports, service-provider tools, or other review processes. We may remove, restrict, suspend, modify access to, or decline to publish Creator Content at any time if we believe it may violate law, these Creator Terms, our policies, third-party rights, payment-provider rules, app-store rules, or platform safety requirements.

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree is not required to promote, monetize, or continue offering Creator Content for new access. Creators may unpublish Creator Content from new paid access through available platform tools or by request. If you terminate your creator participation or request removal, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree will use commercially reasonable efforts to stop new paid unlocks within 5 business days, subject to legal, technical, security, refund, dispute, moderation, and recordkeeping needs.

Ordinary unpublishing stops new access but does not revoke active earlier purchases. Noveltree may retain and serve the immutable chapter or work version sold to each purchaser. Later sales-territory changes do not block that purchased version. A later mobile-access change cannot make an earlier purchase more restrictive; an app-only restriction shown at purchase remains part of that purchase. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may restrict earlier access where required by law, a binding legal order, a substantiated rights claim, a refund or chargeback, fraud or account abuse, or a security emergency that cannot reasonably be addressed through a narrower measure.

We may preserve copies of Creator Content, metadata, records, communications, and related information as necessary for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, safety, moderation, or compliance purposes.

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may apply watermarks, forensic markers, metadata, account or license identifiers, download identifiers, rights notices, access controls, copy limits, download limits, anti-scraping controls, and other technical protection measures to Creator Content made available through Noveltree. These measures are intended to deter unauthorized copying and sharing, support rights enforcement, protect creators, and secure the service, but they may not prevent every unauthorized use.

Content Protection Modes

No DRM. Each purchased chapter or eligible complete work includes ownership of a watermark-free personal-use copy, but not copyright in the work. Noveltree may provide a combined EPUB or PDF in the interface after every required chapter has been purchased. Before then, or when no combined eBook is available, Noveltree may fulfill a purchaser's request with a standalone EPUB of the immutable chapter version sold. Ordinary unpublishing or later territory or mobile-access changes do not recall an offline copy.

Soft DRM. Each purchased chapter or eligible complete work includes ownership of a personalized, watermarked personal-use copy, but not copyright in the work. Noveltree may provide a combined EPUB or PDF in the interface after every required chapter has been purchased. Before then, or when no combined eBook is available, Noveltree may fulfill a purchaser's request with a standalone watermarked EPUB of the immutable chapter version sold. The watermark and associated identifiers remain part of the file. Ordinary unpublishing or later territory or mobile-access changes do not recall an offline copy.

Hard DRM. Readers receive continuing access through Noveltree, without downloads or exports. Ordinary unpublishing and later sales-territory changes do not revoke active earlier purchases. An app-only restriction applies to purchases made while that restriction is disclosed.

12. Copyright Complaints And Rights Disputes

You are responsible for ensuring that your Creator Content does not infringe any rights. If Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree receives a copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, plagiarism, or other rights complaint regarding your Creator Content, we may remove or restrict the content, pause monetization, pause payouts, request information from you, provide your contact information where legally permitted or required, or take other action.

We may terminate repeat infringers or creators who repeatedly submit unauthorized content. If you believe content on Noveltree infringes your rights, you may submit a complaint under Noveltree's Copyright Policy or other rights-reporting process.

13. Pricing, Monetization, And Platform Control

Noveltree is a digital reading and creator-content platform operated by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree. Readers buy Coins, content access, Stickers, and other platform features from Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree, an app store, or an applicable payment channel. Readers do not buy Coins from creators.

Creators may select, recommend, or set list prices from platform-supported pricing options. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree retains final control over platform pricing mechanics, Coin package pricing, regional availability, app-store price tiers, Coin uses, Creator Consumable Credits, chapter or full-work access options, Sticker features, promotions, discounts, taxes, refunds, bonus or promotional Coins, source-bucket treatment, content availability, creator eligibility, royalty calculation rules, payout schedules, and platform rules.

When chapter pricing is off, the full-work price is the price for full-work access. For a completed chapter-priced work with a positive full-work price, that price is a cap for the same edition. Eligible amounts previously charged for chapters of that edition count toward the cap, and the reader is charged only the lesser of the unpaid cap balance and the total price of the remaining paid chapters. Free chapters do not count as chapter payments, and refunded, reversed, disputed, expired, suspended, or revoked chapter access does not count as an active entitlement toward the calculation. When chapter pricing is on and no positive full-work cap applies, including for a completed work without one, the available bulk offer covers only the currently published, unowned paid chapters at their combined remaining price. It grants those chapter entitlements, not full-work access or future chapters. A publisher- or creator-designated free chapter grants the complete eligible chapter at zero Coins. A preview is a limited excerpt or promotional view and does not itself grant a chapter or full-work purchase entitlement.

Creators may select supported regions for new offers and free access. Noveltree uses reasonable technical measures and location signals to apply those settings before access is granted, including to publisher-designated free chapters and previews. Region detection may be inaccurate or bypassed through VPNs, proxies, account misuse, compromised devices, or other circumvention, so a region setting is a platform availability control rather than a guarantee of physical location. Removing a territory later stops new access there but does not revoke an active earlier purchase or disable a No DRM or Soft DRM file already downloaded under that purchase.

We may change, test, remove, limit, suspend, or discontinue monetization features, subject to applicable law and these Creator Terms. If Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree makes a material change to Copyright Royalties formulas, Creator Consumable Credit Election rules, or payout schedules, we will provide reasonable notice unless earlier changes are needed for fraud prevention, abuse prevention, legal compliance, tax compliance, app-store rules, payment-provider rules, sanctions compliance, security, platform integrity, or urgent operational reasons.

14. Coins And Stickers

Coins are closed-loop in-app credits issued by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree for use only inside Noveltree. Coins are not cash, legal tender, deposits, securities, open-loop stored value, payment accounts, remittance instruments, creator funds, seller proceeds, redeemable financial assets, investment products, bank accounts, or financial instruments. Coins cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law. Coins cannot be transferred user-to-user, sold, traded, pledged, sublicensed, exchanged, taken out of Noveltree, or sent to creators.

Promotional Coins may be used for eligible chapter access, full-work access, Stickers, and other eligible reader-facing Coin features unless different restrictions are disclosed when they are granted. Creator Consumable Credits may be used for eligible chapter and full-work access, but not for Stickers unless Noveltree expressly enables that source bucket for Sticker use.

Stickers are digital expressive, collectible, visual, social, display, and content-associated platform items made available by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree within Noveltree. Users may send or use Stickers on eligible Noveltree content or other eligible platform areas.

Sending or using a Sticker means using eligible Coins or credits to cause a Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree-supplied digital Sticker item, reaction, visual artifact, association, notification, display, or platform event to appear in connection with eligible literary content or another eligible Noveltree surface. Sending or using a Sticker does not transfer money, Coins, stored value, proceeds, funds, or financial assets to a creator, and does not create a creator wallet or creator-held balance.

For royalty-calculation purposes, Sticker activity is eligible only where Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree treats it as associated with eligible literary content, a book, chapter, series, creator catalogue, or another content-associated Noveltree surface. Sticker activity on non-content surfaces may be display-only, non-compensable, excluded, capped, weighted differently, or otherwise treated under platform rules.

Stickers have independent product utility. They are visual, may be rare or seasonal, may be associated with chapters or books, and creators may be able to display received Stickers on their profile, content pages, or other Noveltree surfaces.

A received Sticker is a visual and social platform artifact only. It is not money, Coins, stored value, Copyright Royalties, Creator Consumable Credits, a payout right, a financial asset, or a creator-owned balance. A Sticker cannot be redeemed, sold, traded, transferred, exchanged for cash, converted into Copyright Royalties, Creator Consumable Credits, Coins, or any other value.

A Sticker's association with a book, chapter, series, creator profile, or creator catalogue does not make the Sticker part of the underlying literary work, transfer ownership of the Sticker or literary work, or grant any separate rights in the Sticker, literary work, or combined display. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may remove, hide, moderate, expire, rotate, or change Sticker display features under the applicable terms and platform rules.

Sticker activity may be one content-associated engagement input in Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree's platform-calculated Copyright Royalties. Creators do not receive Coins, Stickers, Sticker value, reader funds, or stored value from readers. Sticker-associated Copyright Royalties are Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree-calculated royalties for licensed literary works, not tips, donations, gifts, gratuities, service fees, reader-to-creator transfers, pass-through payments, remittances, seller proceeds, creator funds, or payments from the user who sent the Sticker.

You may encourage readers to send Stickers, but you must not describe Stickers as tips, donations, gifts of money, direct payments, reader payments, or Coins sent to you. Sticker activity may contribute to platform-calculated Copyright Royalties under these Creator Terms.

A Sticker's Coin cost, rarity, category, display treatment, promotional value, seasonal status, or user-facing presentation does not create a fixed creator entitlement, represent funds held for a creator, or mean the sender's Coins are transferred to the creator. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may determine royalty values, rates, weights, multipliers, formulas, pools, caps, exclusions, or eligibility rules for Sticker activity by source bucket, territory, content type, category, rarity, fraud status, rights status, account status, refund or chargeback status, or other platform-defined factors.

15. Copyright Royalties

Eligible creators may receive Copyright Royalties calculated by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree under these Creator Terms, applicable program rules, and any published royalty schedule or formula. Copyright Royalties may be based on paid content access, chapter unlocks, full-work unlocks, eligible Sticker activity, reader engagement, source buckets, platform promotions, applicable taxes, fees, refunds, chargebacks, reversals, discounts, adjustments, app-store or payment-channel rules, regional pricing, creator eligibility, content eligibility, and other factors described in applicable creator-program rules.

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may assign royalty values, rates, weights, multipliers, formulas, pools, caps, or exclusions to eligible activity by source bucket, territory, content type, category, rarity, fraud status, rights status, or other platform-defined factors. Unless otherwise stated in a written agreement signed by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree, all Copyright Royalties calculations are determined by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree in good faith based on its systems, records, and program rules.

Under the current paid-access schedule, each Royalty-Eligible Access Unit generates USD $0.01 in Estimated Copyright Royalties. Paid Coins, Promotional Coins, and Creator Consumable Credits receive the same treatment when consumed for eligible chapter or full-work access. Test and administrative credits are ineligible. Publisher- or creator-designated free access consumes no access units and generates no Paid Access Royalty; Promotional Coins used for a Noveltree-funded promotion retain the same paid-access royalty value as Paid Coins.

Copyright Royalties are not guaranteed. Participation in the creator program does not guarantee readership, ranking, promotion, revenue, visibility, monetization, payout, Creator Consumable Credit eligibility, or continued access to Noveltree.

16. Estimates, Reports, And Adjustments

Creator dashboards, analytics, earnings pages, notifications, forecasts, and reports may show Estimated Copyright Royalties, pending amounts, engagement activity, Sticker activity, content unlocks, source-bucket information, or other information. Amounts shown before final approval are estimates only. Estimated Copyright Royalties are preliminary, informational, non-final, non-transferable, and non-payable.

Estimated Copyright Royalties do not represent wallet balances, stored-value balances, deposits, available funds, seller proceeds, creator funds, trust funds, reader payments, or money held on your behalf. No debt, payable obligation, trust relationship, custodial relationship, or payment obligation arises with respect to Estimated Copyright Royalties unless and until Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree approves Copyright Royalties under these Creator Terms.

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may adjust estimated or approved Copyright Royalties for refunds, chargebacks, payment reversals, fraud, abuse, bot activity, self-dealing, manipulation, policy violations, app-store adjustments, payment-provider adjustments, taxes, withholding, reporting reserves, currency conversion, reporting errors, technical errors, duplicate transactions, content removals, rights disputes, or legal or compliance requirements. We may correct errors at any time.

17. Compensation Disputes

If you believe a Copyright Royalties report or payout statement contains an error or omission, you must notify Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree in writing within six months after the report or statement is first made available. Your notice should identify the disputed report or statement, the amount or activity you believe is incorrect, and the basis for your concern. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree will review timely disputes in good faith and correct any verified error or omission in a subsequent report, statement, payout, or account adjustment, as appropriate.

Except where applicable law requires otherwise, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree is not obligated to investigate or correct an error or omission first reported more than six months after the applicable report or statement was made available. Nothing in this section limits Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree's ability to correct fraud, abuse, technical errors, tax issues, payment-provider adjustments, refunds, chargebacks, legal requirements, or compliance issues.

18. No Creator Wallet Or Payment Account

Noveltree does not provide creators with a wallet, stored-value account, deposit account, payment account, or creator-controlled balance. Creators do not receive reader Coins, reader payments, Stickers, Sticker value, or stored value. Creators cannot control payout timing, request immediate payment, or direct payout of unpaid amounts outside Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree's scheduled payout process.

Creator Consumable Credits, if offered, do not create a wallet, stored-value account, payment account, deposit, creator-controlled balance, or right to control payout timing. Creator Consumable Credits cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred, sold, traded, pledged, converted back into Copyright Royalties, or used outside Noveltree.

19. Creator Consumable Credit Election

If offered, an eligible creator may elect to apply up to a permitted portion of net approved Copyright Royalties to Creator Consumable Credits, subject to Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree approval. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may permit eligible creators to apply up to 50% of net approved Copyright Royalties, but Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may set lower limits, deny an election, delay an election, suspend the feature, change the permitted percentage, require a minimum Scheduled Royalty Payout amount, require fiat or accounting reserves, or restrict elections for certain countries, payout methods, creators, account statuses, source buckets, or risk profiles.

Creator Consumable Credits may be used for eligible chapter or full-work access and any other eligible reading-access feature Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree makes available for that source bucket. They cannot be used for Stickers unless Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree expressly enables that source bucket for Sticker use. They may not be used on your own content, affiliated or related content, controlled content, self-dealing content, or other content or features Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree designates as ineligible.

If one creator uses Creator Consumable Credits to access another creator's content, the first creator is redeeming Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree-issued closed-loop platform credits for Noveltree platform content access. Any Copyright Royalties for the other creator are separately calculated by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree under that other creator's Creator Terms. Under the current schedule, each Creator Consumable Credit consumed for eligible chapter or full-work access generates the same USD $0.01 Paid Access Royalty as a Paid Coin or Promotional Coin. The first creator does not transfer money, Coins, royalties, stored value, or other value to the other creator.

If Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree later enables Creator Consumable Credits for Stickers, that Sticker activity will be source-bucketed separately and will be non-compensable by default unless Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree expressly includes it in the applicable royalty formula. Using Creator Consumable Credits for a Sticker would not transfer money, Coins, Copyright Royalties, stored value, or other value to any creator.

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may restrict, exclude, reduce, reverse, reserve, treat as ineligible or non-compensable, or deny royalty treatment for test or administrative credits, refunded or reversed access units, related or affiliated account activity, reciprocal creator loops, self-dealing, collusion, fraud, abuse, sanctions risk, rights issues, chargebacks, refunds, or platform-integrity concerns. Legitimate Promotional Coin and Creator Consumable Credit access is not excluded merely because of its source bucket.

20. Payout Schedule

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may pay approved Copyright Royalties through Scheduled Royalty Payouts. The current default Scheduled Royalty Payout cadence is monthly. A different schedule may apply under approved program rules, a separate written agreement, publisher-specific terms, payment-provider requirements, country or currency restrictions, risk or compliance review, holds, reserves, thresholds, or another schedule determined by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree. Payout schedules may vary by country, payout method, creator status, payout provider, risk status, tax status, minimum threshold, payment-provider availability, and operational requirements.

We may delay or skip a scheduled payout if the creator has not completed Payout Eligibility; required tax information is missing or invalid; identity or business verification is required or incomplete; payout information is missing, inaccurate, unsupported, or unverifiable; sanctions, fraud, abuse, payment-provider, or compliance review is pending; refunds, chargebacks, reversals, or adjustments are pending; the amount is below the payout threshold; the creator or content is under review; required records are incomplete; payment providers are unavailable or reject the payout; applicable law restricts the payout; or we otherwise determine a delay is necessary to protect users, creators, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree, or the platform.

If a payout is skipped or delayed, eligible approved Copyright Royalties may be included in a later Scheduled Royalty Payout if Payout Eligibility is completed and no hold, offset, reversal, or compliance issue remains.

Current payout details, including minimum payout thresholds, supported countries, supported currencies, payout providers, payout fees, reserve periods, chargeback or refund windows, and payout schedules, may be shown in the creator dashboard, Creator Program Summary, payout-provider flow, or other program materials. These details may vary by country, currency, payout provider, creator status, risk profile, source bucket, and operational requirements, and may change from time to time under these Creator Terms.

21. Payout Eligibility

Before receiving Scheduled Royalty Payouts or completing a Creator Consumable Credit Election, you may be required to complete Payout Eligibility. Payout Eligibility may include legal name, date of birth, address, country of residence, business or entity information, tax forms or tax certifications, tax identification numbers, payout method, PayPal, Stripe, bank, or other payout-provider information, identity verification, business verification, sanctions screening, fraud and abuse review, content ownership review, payment-provider onboarding, acceptance of applicable terms, and any other information required by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree, law, or a payout provider.

Identity or business verification may be required before first payout, after lifetime earnings thresholds, after payout-method changes, before a Creator Consumable Credit Election, or when risk, fraud, sanctions, tax, payment-provider, or compliance triggers apply. If you do not complete Payout Eligibility, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may pause scheduled payouts, deny or delay a Creator Consumable Credit Election, pause monetization, limit access to paid creator features, or suspend further accrual of Copyright Royalties.

22. Payout Methods And Providers

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may use PayPal, Stripe, bank transfer, or another payout provider to make scheduled payouts. You must comply with the terms, policies, verification requirements, and account requirements of any payout provider. We do not control payout-provider approval, availability, timing, fees, holds, reversals, account limitations, currency conversion, or payout rejection decisions.

The self-serve app flow may support only selected payout providers at a given time. The current self-serve creator payout flow supports PayPal and shows USD as the payout currency. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may offer Stripe, direct bank transfer, or another payout method to selected creators or publishers through approved program rules or a separate written agreement.

Depending on your PayPal account, country, and PayPal's rules, PayPal may make a payout available in a supported local currency or offer PayPal-managed currency conversion. PayPal currency conversion rates, fees, pending-payment rules, country restrictions, and currency restrictions may apply.

We may require you to provide a different payout method if your selected payout method is unsupported, unavailable, rejected, frozen, limited, or otherwise unsuitable. You are responsible for ensuring that payout details are accurate. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate, outdated, or unauthorized payout information, except where required by law.

23. Payout Thresholds

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may establish minimum payout thresholds. If approved Copyright Royalties are below the applicable threshold, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may carry it forward to a later Scheduled Royalty Payout until the threshold is reached, subject to these Creator Terms. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may change payout thresholds from time to time. Thresholds may vary by country, currency, payout provider, creator status, risk profile, and operational requirements.

Current threshold details may be shown in the creator dashboard, Creator Program Summary, Payments & Royalties page, payout-provider flow, approved program rules, or a separate written agreement. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may update those current threshold details without amending these Creator Terms, subject to these Creator Terms, applicable law, and any notice required for material changes.

24. Taxes And Withholding

You are responsible for all taxes, duties, charges, filings, registrations, and reporting obligations arising from your Creator Content, creator activity, Copyright Royalties, Scheduled Royalty Payouts, and Creator Consumable Credit Elections. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may request tax forms, certifications, tax identification numbers, residency information, treaty documentation, exemption information, and other tax-related information.

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree's intended tax position is that eligible creator earnings, including eligible Sticker-associated earnings, are copyright royalties or similar payments made on or in respect of copyright in literary works. This position is subject to legal and tax review and may not apply to every payment, promotion, incentive, service, or source bucket.

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may deduct, withhold, report, remit, reserve, offset, reclassify, or otherwise handle taxes, withholding, reporting, or other amounts as required or permitted by law or as Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree determines is prudent for tax, accounting, sanctions, payout-provider, fraud, rights, or platform-integrity reasons. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree does not withhold Coins, Stickers, or Creator Consumable Credits. Where withholding, reporting, reserves, offsets, or tax payment obligations apply, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may handle those obligations in fiat or accounting value before any Scheduled Royalty Payout or Creator Consumable Credit Election.

Even where Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree determines that withholding is not required, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may report Copyright Royalties, exempt Copyright Royalties, Scheduled Royalty Payouts, Creator Consumable Credit Elections, or related amounts on applicable tax slips, information returns, creator statements, or other reports where required or prudent.

A Creator Consumable Credit Election does not reduce the gross fiat or accounting value of Approved Copyright Royalties that may be shown on creator statements or reported on applicable tax slips, information returns, or other reports. For example, if a creator has $100 of Approved Copyright Royalties and elects to apply $50 to Creator Consumable Credits, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may show or report the full $100 of Approved Copyright Royalties, with the $50 Creator Consumable Credit Election shown separately from any Scheduled Royalty Payout.

We do not provide tax advice. You should consult your own tax advisor regarding your obligations.

25. Refunds, Chargebacks, Fraud, And Abuse

Copyright Royalties and Creator Consumable Credit Elections may be adjusted, reserved, reversed, denied, capped, or excluded for refunds, chargebacks, reversals, disputed transactions, failed payments, app-store adjustments, payment-provider adjustments, fraud, abuse, self-dealing, manipulation, reciprocal creator loops, related-account activity, or policy violations. You may not manipulate Copyright Royalties, Creator Consumable Credits, or platform engagement.

Prohibited conduct includes buying Coins to artificially increase your own Copyright Royalties; coordinating fake Sticker activity; using stolen payment methods; using bots, scripts, artificial engagement networks, or fake accounts; inducing readers to make purchases with false claims; offering off-platform rewards for platform purchases; manipulating rankings, recommendations, reviews, comments, Stickers, Creator Consumable Credits, or engagement signals; colluding with other users or creators; evading Payout Eligibility or verification requirements; creating duplicate or misleading accounts; using Creator Consumable Credits for self-dealing or reciprocal loops; or engaging in conduct that Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree reasonably believes is abusive, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful.

If we detect or suspect prohibited conduct, we may remove content, pause monetization, pause payouts, deny or delay Creator Consumable Credit Elections, reverse or offset Copyright Royalties, suspend accounts, terminate creator participation, or take other action.

26. Sanctions And Restricted Activity

You may not participate in the creator program if doing so would violate applicable sanctions, export controls, anti-money laundering, anti-terrorist financing, anti-corruption, or other legal requirements. You represent that you are not located in a restricted jurisdiction, are not subject to applicable sanctions, are not acting on behalf of a sanctioned person or entity, will not use Noveltree to evade sanctions or legal restrictions, and that your Creator Content and creator activity comply with applicable law.

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may screen creators, payout information, account information, source buckets, Creator Consumable Credit Elections, and activity for sanctions, fraud, compliance, and risk purposes. We may pause, decline, block, report, reverse payouts, or deny Creator Consumable Credit Elections where required or permitted by law, payment-provider rules, or platform-integrity requirements.

27. Unpaid Or Unclaimed Copyright Royalties

If approved Copyright Royalties cannot be paid or applied to Creator Consumable Credits because a creator has not completed Payout Eligibility, has provided inaccurate or incomplete tax or payout information, has not completed required identity or business verification, cannot receive payment through a supported payout method, cannot be contacted, is subject to sanctions, fraud, risk, payment-provider, tax, rights, or compliance review, or otherwise fails to satisfy these Creator Terms, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may pause, delay, offset, reverse, decline scheduled payout, or deny a Creator Consumable Credit Election for those royalties as permitted under these Creator Terms and applicable law.

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may make reasonable efforts to contact the creator using the contact information associated with the creator's account. If approved Copyright Royalties remain unpaid or unclaimed for the period required by applicable law, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may report, remit, transfer, or otherwise handle the amount as unclaimed property, abandoned property, or similar property as required or permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in this section creates a creator wallet, stored-value account, creator-held balance, or right to control payout timing. Copyright Royalties remain subject to these Creator Terms, Payout Eligibility requirements, Creator Consumable Credit Election rules, and Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree's scheduled payout process.

28. Creator Communications And Marketing

By participating as a creator, you agree that Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may send you transactional, administrative, payout, tax, security, policy, moderation, and creator-program communications. Where permitted by law, we may also send you creator-program updates, marketing opportunities, promotional notices, product updates, or educational materials. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications where required by law. Some transactional, security, legal, payout, and account communications are necessary for the creator program and may still be sent.

You must not send spam or unlawful commercial electronic messages through or in connection with Noveltree.

Creator promotional claims must be accurate and not misleading. You may not misrepresent Copyright Royalties, payout timing, Sticker activity, 0% platform cut, creator ranking, platform endorsement, reader payments, or any relationship with Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree. Where required by law, you are responsible for disclosing material connections, sponsorships, incentives, affiliate relationships, or compensation connected to your Noveltree promotions.

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may provide approved names, logos, badges, links, images, copy, or other marketing materials for use in connection with Noveltree. You may use those materials only as authorized by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree, and you may not edit, modify, imply endorsement, or use them outside the approved purpose unless Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree agrees in writing.

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree owns the Noveltree name, logos, trademarks, service marks, trade dress, branding, product names, interface designs, and related goodwill. You may not copy, modify, use, register, or claim rights in Noveltree branding except as expressly permitted by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree in writing or by any published brand guidelines. You may make truthful, non-misleading references to Noveltree, such as stating that your work is available on Noveltree, provided you do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, certification, special placement, or approval by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may require you to modify or stop any use of Noveltree branding that Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree believes is confusing, misleading, unlawful, or inconsistent with any brand guidelines.

29. Promotions, Rankings, And Platform Features

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may feature, recommend, rank, promote, advertise, discount, bundle, preview, excerpt, or otherwise surface Creator Content in connection with Noveltree. We may use automated systems, editorial judgment, reader activity, engagement signals, commercial factors, safety factors, personalization, availability, and platform testing to determine rankings, recommendations, search results, promotions, and visibility. We do not guarantee any ranking, recommendation, promotion, search placement, visibility, audience, engagement, or Copyright Royalties.

30. Creator Responsibilities

You are responsible for your Creator Content, creator account activity, compliance with these Creator Terms, tax obligations, rights clearances, payout and tax information, communications with users, compliance with applicable laws, maintaining backups of your Creator Content, and securing your account credentials. You must not share your account credentials or allow unauthorized access to your creator account. You must notify Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree promptly if you believe your account or payout information has been compromised.

31. Confidentiality

You may receive non-public information from Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree, including pre-release features, payout information, product plans, creator-program rules, internal tools, testing data, security information, or other confidential information. You may not disclose Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree's confidential information except as authorized by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree or required by law. This section does not prevent you from disclosing your own Creator Content, public creator status, or information that Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree has made public.

32. Privacy And Identity Verification

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may collect, use, disclose, retain, and process creator information as described in the Privacy Policy. Creator information may include legal name, address, country, date of birth, tax information, payout method information, PayPal or payout account details, identity verification information, government ID information or images, selfie or liveness data where used, verification status, sanctions or fraud signals, Copyright Royalties records, Creator Consumable Credit Election records, payout history, and related records.

We may use third-party service providers for identity verification, payout processing, tax compliance, fraud prevention, sanctions screening, analytics, hosting, security, customer support, and other operational purposes. Payouts and Creator Consumable Credit Elections may be paused, delayed, or denied if Payout Eligibility, identity verification, tax information, or compliance review is incomplete.

Creators do not receive reader personal information merely because a reader views, unlocks, saves, follows, comments on, reports, sends Stickers in connection with, or otherwise interacts with Creator Content. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may provide aggregate, de-identified, or limited creator analytics where permitted by the Privacy Policy, these Creator Terms, platform rules, and applicable law.

Identity verification may be handled by third-party verification providers. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree does not intend to store government identification images longer than necessary unless retention is needed for legal, fraud, tax, security, dispute, audit, or compliance purposes. Verification providers may process or retain verification data under their own applicable terms and policies.

33. Service Changes And Availability

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may change, suspend, remove, replace, limit, or discontinue parts of Noveltree, including creator features, monetization features, Coins, Stickers, reader features, rankings, search, recommendations, content access, Creator Consumable Credits, payout providers, payout schedules, and program rules. We are not liable for loss of visibility, audience, rankings, engagement, Estimated Copyright Royalties, expected Copyright Royalties, or expected Creator Consumable Credit eligibility caused by service changes, except where required by law.

34. Termination By You

You may stop participating as a creator by following the account or creator-program closure process made available by Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree, if any, or by contacting us. Before terminating, you are responsible for downloading or backing up any Creator Content you want to keep.

If you terminate your participation, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree will use commercially reasonable efforts to stop making your Creator Content available for new paid unlocks within 5 business days, except where continued access or retention is needed for users who already unlocked the content, legal compliance, tax or accounting records, backups, dispute resolution, refunds, chargebacks, moderation, security, fraud prevention, or other platform operations. Termination stops new paid access but does not revoke active earlier purchases. Noveltree may continue serving the immutable version sold to each purchaser, subject to the limited legal, rights, refund, fraud, account-abuse, and security exceptions in Section 11. Termination may not immediately remove Creator Content from all caches, backups, records, purchased libraries, moderation systems, legal records, or operational systems. Termination does not affect rights, obligations, or licenses that accrued before termination.

35. Suspension Or Termination By Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may suspend, restrict, or terminate your creator account, creator-program participation, monetization, Payout Eligibility, or access to Noveltree if we believe you violated these Creator Terms or another Noveltree policy; your Creator Content violates law or rights; your account presents fraud, abuse, sanctions, legal, security, financial, or reputational risk; your tax, payout, or identity information is incomplete, inaccurate, unsupported, or unverifiable; a payment provider, app store, regulator, rights holder, or other third party raises an issue; continued participation may harm users, creators, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree, or the platform; or suspension or termination is otherwise permitted by these Creator Terms or required by law.

Upon suspension or termination, we may remove content, pause monetization, pause payouts, deny or delay Creator Consumable Credit Elections, reverse or offset Copyright Royalties, preserve records, and take other actions permitted by these Creator Terms and applicable law.

36. Effects Of Termination

After termination, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may stop displaying, monetizing, promoting, or making your Creator Content available for new access. Active earlier purchases remain subject to the continuing-access rules and limited exceptions in Section 11. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may retain copies of Creator Content and related records as needed for legal compliance, tax and accounting, refunds and chargebacks, fraud prevention, moderation and safety, dispute resolution, rights complaints, backups and archival systems, enforcing these Creator Terms, and operating features that existed before termination.

If approved Copyright Royalties remain payable after termination, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may pay them through a Scheduled Royalty Payout or approve a Creator Consumable Credit Election if you satisfy Payout Eligibility and no hold, offset, reversal, sanctions, fraud, payment-provider, tax, rights, or legal issue applies.

37. Feedback

If you provide suggestions, ideas, feature requests, bug reports, or other feedback to Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree, we may use that feedback for any purpose without compensation or obligation to you.

38. Disclaimer Of Warranties

The creator program and Noveltree are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree disclaims all warranties, representations, and conditions, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, security, and uninterrupted operation.

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree does not guarantee that your Creator Content will be accepted, displayed, promoted, monetized, or available; readers will find, read, like, buy, unlock, comment on, or engage with your Creator Content; you will earn Copyright Royalties; Estimated Copyright Royalties will become Approved Copyright Royalties; payouts or Creator Consumable Credit Elections will occur on any particular date; Noveltree will be error-free or uninterrupted; or any ranking, recommendation, search placement, or engagement metric will remain stable.

39. Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, service providers, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or similar damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill, loss of audience, loss of visibility, lost opportunity, or expected Copyright Royalties.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree's total liability arising out of or relating to these Creator Terms or the creator program will not exceed the amount of Copyright Royalties paid or payable to you under these Creator Terms during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, after refunds, chargebacks, reversals, taxes, withholding, offsets, fraud review, abuse review, payment-provider adjustments, and other permitted adjustments.

Nothing in these Creator Terms limits Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree's obligation to pay approved Copyright Royalties that are finally determined to be owed under these Creator Terms, subject to Payout Eligibility, offsets, reversals, withholding, taxes, compliance holds, fraud review, sanctions restrictions, payment-provider issues, Creator Consumable Credit Election rules, and applicable law. Nothing in these Creator Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

40. Indemnity

You are responsible for claims, demands, actions, losses, liabilities, damages, fines, penalties, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your Creator Content; creator activity; breach of these Creator Terms; violation of law; violation of third-party rights; tax obligations; fraud, abuse, manipulation, or misconduct; payout or tax information; disputes with co-authors, publishers, collaborators, rights holders, agents, estates, or representatives; or use of Noveltree. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, service providers, and agents for those claims and losses. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may control the defence and settlement of any claim subject to indemnity, and you agree to cooperate with us.

41. Changes To These Creator Terms

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may update these Creator Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you by posting the updated terms, sending an email, showing an in-app notice, or using another reasonable method. Updated Creator Terms become effective when posted or on the date stated in the notice. Your continued participation in the creator program after updated Creator Terms become effective means you accept the updated Creator Terms. If you do not agree to updated Creator Terms, you must stop participating in the creator program.

42. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Creator Terms, your creator account, Payout Eligibility, Copyright Royalties rights, or Creator Consumable Credit rights without Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree's prior written consent. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may assign or transfer these Creator Terms, in whole or in part, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, corporate transaction, change of control, or operation of law.

43. Governing Law And Disputes

These Creator Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law, you agree that disputes arising out of or relating to these Creator Terms, the creator program, Creator Content, or Copyright Royalties will be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada.

44. Notices

Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree may provide notices to you by email, in-app message, account notice, posting on Noveltree, or another reasonable method. You may contact Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree using the contact information provided on Noveltree. You are responsible for keeping your contact information current.

45. Survival

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections regarding ownership, licenses, moral rights, taxes, adjustments, unpaid or unclaimed Copyright Royalties, Creator Consumable Credits, privacy and records, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law, and dispute resolution.

46. Entire Agreement

These Creator Terms, together with the Noveltree Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Virtual Items Policy, Cookie Policy, Content Guidelines, Copyright Policy, and any applicable creator-program rules, form the entire agreement between you and Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree regarding your participation as a creator. If any provision of these Creator Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Fictiondex Inc. dba Noveltree's failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of its right to do so later.
